Nubians have the highest milk fat content of all full sized dairy breeds, and Nigerian Dwarfs have the highest over ALL dairy goats. The Mini Nubian is a newer breed that originates as a cross between the two, known for producing 2/3 the milk of a full sized goat on 1/2 the feed, high butterfat, and are easier to handle requiring less space. The Nigerian Dwarf are very easy keepers and a well-bred Nigerian will produce an exceptionally high volume of rich, creamy milk relative to their size. The quality of our milk blend is key to producing the our popular goat milk soap cheese and butter!
We have all three breeds here on the farm, Nubian, Mini Nubian and Nigerian Dwarf goats to tailor our herd specifically for high quality and quantity of milk production, good conformation, and sweet temperament. As demand for our cheese has grown, we've added a new breed to our herd, LaManchas! We spend time with and love on all of our goats, so they're friendly and used to being handled. We selectively breed for the highest dairy quality, conformation, and temperament, and test annually for CL/CAE/Johne's Disease as well as TB and Brucellosis, and our milk products are tested routinely by the Idaho Dept of Agriculture to maintain our Raw Milk Permit. Our goats are truly "pets with a purpose"!

We make our skincare products in small batches, so you'll always be assured of freshness. For this reason, if you wish to place a larger order, or have a special scent or ingredient you'd like us to customize for you, we'll welcome your request but might need just a little extra time for fulfillment. We're hands on cheesemakers, from start to finish. We breed, raise, and care for our dairy goats and cows, and select breeds specifically for excellent quality milk and high butterfat. We're hands on cheesemakers, from start to finish. We breed, raise, and care for our dairy goats and cows, and select breeds specifically for excellent quality milk and high butterfat. We love making the lesser known cheeses that are cherished around the world, and watching the look of delight on the faces of our customers who are trying them for the first time! We don't keep our website updated on our cheeses simply because they don't stay in stock, and time doesn't permit us to do so. We sell them at the Kootenai County Farmers Market and at local stores or online in the off season. This year we've introduced cheeses like Cabecou, Cabra al Vino, Crottin de Chavignol, and our own Cabra Coeur d'Alene, along with the more common offerings of Cheese Curds, Fromage Blanc and Chevre. Once our creamery building is finished in Fall of 2021, we'll add our cow's milk cheeses to this mix! Keep watching for more info, and new varieties to try!
